Bridal sessions are one of my favorite sessions to photograph. Who says that you get to wear your beautiful dress only once? I absolutely love being there when a bride sees herself for the first time as she will appear on her wedding day.
Typically, bridal sessions are coordinated to coincide with your hair and makeup trial. Besides the obvious fun of getting to model and show off your dress, from a practical standpoint, a bridal session allows you to have a “trial run” of your wedding day. Some brides will make adjustments to items such as their hair, makeup or shoes after having their bridal portraits taken. Its a great way to make sure that everything is exactly how you want it for your big day!
A popular idea is to have a canvas or print of your favorite bridal portrait displayed at your reception and then later displayed on your own or parents walls. Other brides love their session so much that they have an album created of their favorite images. Check out some of my favorite bridal portraits in the gallery below!
