Although I have shot many portrait sessions at the McKinney Cottonmill, this was actually my first wedding there (several more coming). Robby and Kristin are one of my out of state couples that got married here locally. Kristin actually hired me before we ever met by phone and then we met up for lunch when they could make the drive down from Oklahoma.
Let me tell ya, they know how to throw a wedding! The Cottonmill was covered in country details from the linens to the frostless wedding cake. Although it rained a good part of the day, even that couldn’t put a damper on the fun (I was even able to get an awesome picture of the groomsman with the thunderstorm coming in. We ended up moving the ceremony into the reception area with the help of their coordinator and everything went off without a hitch 🙂
After the ceremony, the reception began with an emotional first dance, followed by all of the other traditional American wedding festivities. Then the party REALLY started! I hope you enjoy this post. I certainly enjoyed going through their images to create it 🙂
Robby & Kristin, it was my absolute pleasure to work with you this past year. I hope you enjoy your images!
