Dallas Wedding Photographer, Ruthe Jackson Center | Cedric & Alicia

I started out shooting weddings as everyone should; as an assistant and then moved up to second shooter (an additional photographer at the wedding to help cover the couple getting ready, details and a different angle than the lead photographer).  I always enjoyed second shooting, but I rarely do that now because of my own schedule.  But, if a friend photographer or someone I really admire (in this case both) asks me to shoot with them, I still like to do it if I am available.

I went with Cindy of Visions of White to go shoot Cedric & Alicia’s engagement session a while back and we had so much fun with them.  They are a GORGEOUS and classy couple.  Cindy contacted me and asked if I would like to go shoot their wedding with her and I jumped on it.  I love working with Cindy because she completely trusts me on handling parts of the event and I knew it would be a classy and it sure was 🙂

As usual, I am starting this post with the couple pictures because as you know if you follow me, these few minutes I get to spend with the couple are my favorite part of the whole day!

Now, I will start back with the beginning of the day with the stunning Alicia getting ready.  I love everything about this image.

Then, the beautiful sunset ceremony…

Cedric looking handsome and pretty excited waiting to see his bride.

Now, we go to the beautiful reception area.  I told ya it would be classy!  Some favorite details 🙂

And you know how I love ring shots, and Cindy loves that I have a macro lens 🙂

And on top of a pineapple!  I love the texture.

This little guy LOVED the camera.  He was coming over to me all night 🙂

I wasn’t surprised to see that Cedric and Alica had moves on the dance floor…

They had a band AND a DJ that switched off during different parts of the night.

The toast was more of a roast by their Maid of Honors and Best Men.

Cedric dancing with his mom.

Alicia with her (proud) daddy.

Love this of Cedric & Alicia…

Cedric really enjoyed going after the garter!

Cindy let me leave pretty quickly after the garter toss, so I headed on out to go put my feet up before heading out the next morning to shoot a portrait session.  Congratulations Cedric & Alicia! And Cindy, thank you again for letting me come play with you!
