Meet my new friends, Jacob & Crystal. They opted to have a very small private wedding at the Loyd Hall Plantation in Louisiana. I really just love the intimacy of small weddings. There is no stress, and the happy couple can visit with everyone there. Even the rain couldn’t put a damper on the day!
The clouds and plantation home made for a perfect excuse to pull out my infrared camera!
Crystal manages a book store and is also into photography. She has collected a bunch of old cameras, so that was the theme of their wedding, which I just LOVED, so I used that as the background for most of their detail pictures.
These keys were in Crystal’s bouquet. They belonged to her grandfather.
Then, some beautiful, naturally lit images of the couple getting ready!
After they were ready, we went out to the front balcony for a “first look”. This is where the couple will meet privately before the wedding to see each other. Its one of my favorite times of the day since it allows the couple to be alone before the rest of the day flies by with friends and family 🙂
Jacob & Crystal had their ceremony on the front porch of the plantation, followed with a fabulous Cajun meal and wine that put about 10 lbs on me. I don’t think I have ever eaten so much!
Unfortunately, it started raining minutes after the wedding, but we did manage to get a few behind the plantation house with this fantastic view of the storm coming in. It looks like I put them in front of a backdrop!
Jacob & Crystal, thank you so much for having me make the trip out to Louisiana to be a part of your special day!
Best wishes to you both! Lyncca
