Las Vegas Strip at Night

Posted on March 6, 2010

When I originally started learning about photography, I started out like many people taking pictures of nature, architecture and anything else I found of interest. I quickly found after getting over my embarassment of setting up a tripod in the middle of a public street, that I absolutely LOVE night photography! The vivid colors that the lights put out really intrigue me.

I have also been lucky enough to travel to many places as part of my career. Last week, I went to work in Las Vegas for the week; and what better city can you play with lights, than Vegas?? My poor feet worked hard for these pictures. I covered a good portion of the strip; and I plan to go back and get some more on my next trip. Enjoy!

You may recognize this gorgeous baby from my last post. This is Casey and he is 11 days old. He is also my newest nephew!  He is so sweet and snuggly, but he sure didn’t like me messing with him during his nap.  It was all worth it though.  Look how adorable he is!

This is James Casey.  He is only one day old and he is also my newest little nephew! I’m a little biased, but I think he is just gorgeous!   Stay tuned for next week for his official portrait session with the goofy hats!

You may recognize these two beautiful girls from this session.  I took Brooke and Elizabeth’s pictures late last Summer; but now they wanted to get a full family session including the grandparents.

We went to the stockyards; a favorite of many to take their pictures.  We had a great time!
